Volvo Framework Agreement

“This agreement will allow us to join forces in this important product area so that both brands can compete more effectively,” said John Patterson, Vice President of JCB. JCB and Volvo Construction Equipment have entered into a framework agreement under which they will work together to develop and manufacture skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders for distribution under their respective brands and through their respective global dealer networks. Commenting on the deal as much as possible, John Patterson, Vice President of JCB, said: “This will allow us to join forces in this important product area so that both brands can compete more effectively.” The companies expect the first Volvo-branded machines with Monoboom to be produced at the JCB plant in Savannah, Georgia, by the end of 2010.
